Stop the Iran War Before it Starts

In April 2001 I was invited to Washington, DC, by a group of Republican Congressmen collectively known as the Theme Team. The subject was Iraq. It seems that the Theme Team, responsible for monitoring the ideological pulse of America, was somewhat perturbed that a self-described Republican and former Marine officer, not to mention a former UN weapons inspector, was trash-talking America's Iraq policy. Nadia McCaffrey is the founder of Veterans Village http://www.veteransvillage.org, a nonprofit organization that promotes mental and holistic wellness and palliative care for veterans returning from the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, especially those suffering from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). When her son, Sergeant Patrick McCaffrey, died in Iraq, Nadia began to focus on promoting peace and justice and reaching out to parents that have lost loved ones in the U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq.
